Thursday the 27th June

Gravel road ride to Jimna via Borumba dam.

Ride Leader: Peter Palis
Departs: 9am
Departs from: Rotunda at the Gold Mining Museum, Monkland.

A ride for Adventure styled bikes. We will not be traveling at breakneck speeds, its about enjoying the environments and the great outdoors.

Travel out via the tar to Imbil. (35kms)

Then we will travel towards Borumba dam and turn off just prior to the dam into Bella Creek Road. The road is then gravel all the way to the Kilcoy to Kilkivan connection road. (45kms)

We will travel along the gravel Kilcoy connection road to Jimna (18kms), there we will stop for smoko. BYO smoko will be the order of the day.

From Jimna we will travel the gravel road down Sunday Creek Road back to Kenilworth (46kms). We will pass through high level subtropical rainforest and Charlie Moreland park.

Lunch at Kenilworth before riding home on the tar. (50kms)

All up it is about 200kms which we will do at a leisurely pace, I'm expecting to be back in Gympie mid-afternoon.

Cheers Peter Palis
